Job Summary

We are seeking an Aerospace Machinist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Valencia, CA. This role is ideal for an entry-level machining candidate with less than 1 year of experience who wants to build a career in aerospace and defense manufacturing.

The Aerospace Machinist will support precision production by loading and unloading parts, following work instructions, inspecting parts, monitoring tools, and maintaining quality standards in an AS9100-compliant environment. Key Responsibilities

- Read and follow work orders, work instructions, safety procedures, quality policies, and company guidelines.
- Load and unload parts into fixtures, vises, and chucks while keeping mounting surfaces clean and free of chips.
- Perform multi-station loading and properly use torque wrenches when loading parts and fixtures.
- Monitor tool magazines for chipped or broken tools and identify defective fixtures, wear, damage, loose pins, or poor part fit.
- Use inspection equipment to validate parts to print and check for visual defects and required surface finishes.
- Report abnormal conditions, red tag non-conforming product, and support AS9100-compliant processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Less than 1 year of machining, CNC, manufacturing, or production experience.

- Basic understanding of part loading, fixtures, chucks, vises, and clean mounting surfaces.
- Ability to use torque wrenches properly when loading parts and fixtures.
- Ability to inspect parts for visual defects, surface finish requirements, and dimensional issues.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to report out-of-tolerance dimensions, machine alarms, unsafe conditions, or product concerns.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Dependable work habits, teamwork, and a quality-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous exposure to aerospace manufacturing or defense industry production environments.
- Familiarity with CNC machining processes, tool magazines, and machine operation basics.
- Experience using basic inspection equipment to validate parts to print.
- Understanding of AS9100 quality requirements or non-conforming material procedures.
