Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace CNC Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Valencia, CA. This role supports a high-performance aerospace and defense manufacturing environment where equipment reliability, safety, precision, and production uptime are essential.
The Aerospace CNC Maintenance Mechanic will install, troubleshoot, repair, align, and maintain CNC machining centers, Swiss machines, mills, lathes, and related production equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, Swiss machines, multi-axis machining centers, and related production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and machine control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Install, align, level, calibrate, and test machinery, equipment, and critical machine components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, machine manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Repair or replace motors, bearings, ball screws, spindles, pumps, belts, sensors, and other CNC machine components.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, service records, and support OSHA and company safety requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $30 to $35 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Maintain and repair CNC machining centers and production equipment in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and lubrication system failures.
- Support machine installation, calibration, leveling, alignment, and accuracy checks.
- Coordinate with production teams to prioritize maintenance work and reduce equipment downtime.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a CNC machining or aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining CNC mills, lathes, Swiss machines, and multi-axis machining centers.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Mori Seiki, Siemens, or Mitsubishi.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, machine manuals, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
- Welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
- Industrial electrical certification or maintenance-related technical training.
- Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certification.
