Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace CNC Machinist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Valencia, CA. This role is ideal for a skilled CNC professional who takes pride in producing precision aerospace components, working to tight tolerances, and supporting high-quality manufacturing in an AS9100 environment.
The Aerospace CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers while interpreting engineering drawings, making machine adjustments, and verifying part quality through first article and in-process inspections. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers to produce precision aerospace components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Install tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices, load programs, adjust offsets, and perform tool changes.
- Conduct first article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot machining issues, and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Complete production documentation, maintain accurate records, and follow all safety and quality procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers for aerospace production.
- Perform first article and in-process inspections to verify tight tolerance requirements.
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T to manufacture precision components.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust offsets, and maintain efficient production flow.
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Mori Seiki, or similar CNC controls.
- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
- Strong understanding of machining practices, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and workholding.
- Ability to produce high-quality parts while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, perform repetitive movements, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet ITAR eligibility requirements for an ITAR-regulated facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience machining aerospace alloys such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and AS9102 first article inspections.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machining.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices.
