Position Summary
The Aerospace CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture precision components used in aerospace applications. This role requires strict adherence to engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, multi-axis machines) to produce aerospace components
Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Perform first article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
Edit CNC programs and offsets as needed to maintain part quality
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
Ensure all parts meet aerospace quality standards and customer specifications
Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams

Qualifications
Minimum 2-5 years of CNC machining experience (aerospace preferred)
Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis preferred)
Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
Proficiency with precision measurement tools
Familiarity with aerospace materials (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel)
Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with controllers such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Siemens
Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code)
Experience in AS9100 or ISO-certified environments
Prior experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Manual dexterity and attention to detail
