Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace - Assembler A for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Valencia, CA. This role is ideal for a skilled mechanical assembler with strong aerospace manufacturing experience, blueprint reading ability, and a high level of mechanical aptitude.

The Aerospace - Assembler A will perform medium to complex mechanical assembly work involving hand tools, riveting, hydraulics, fasteners, fittings, bench assembly, wire harness work, testing, and quality-focused production processes. Key Responsibilities

- Perform medium to complex mechanical assembly, including bench assembly, riveting, fastener installation, fittings, hydraulics, bushing and bearing installation, and related aerospace assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, work instructions, job steps, specifications, and quality requirements to complete work accurately.
- Use precision measuring tools and gauges, including micrometers, depth micrometers, pins, travel indicators, calipers, height gauges, gauge blocks, pressure gauges, and oven temperature control gauges.
- Complete work order transactions, WIP moves, NCMRs, inventory labels, cycle counts, stock pulls, packaging, and in-house material movement as required.
- Support quality, safety, FOD control, continuous improvement, time standards, problem-solving, and corrective action activities within the department.
- Train others on A-level assembly skills and support team performance, quality goals, and production requirements.

- Pay range: $26.00 to $36.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform aerospace mechanical assembly using hand tools, fasteners, rivets, fittings, hydraulics, and bench assembly techniques.
- Read and follow blueprints, specifications, work instructions, sketches, and job step documentation.
- Conduct testing, inspection support, troubleshooting, WIP transactions, and nonconformance documentation as needed.
- Support quality, safety, FOD requirements, continuous improvement, and training of other team members.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related assembly experience required, with 3 to 5 years of aerospace or precision manufacturing experience preferred based on role level.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on higher-level aerospace assemblies.
- Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gauge blocks, travel indicators, pins, pressure gauges, and related inspection equipment.
- Ability to perform or support helicoil installation, part marking, hydraulic testing, bearing and bushing installation, potting, cleaning methods, wire harness building, soldering, crimping, dielectric testing, Lee device installation, keensert installation, and rivet/bucking installation.
- Ability to read and understand quality data, expiration dates, work order requirements, and inspection standards.
- Experience with inventory transactions, handheld scanners, pallet jacks, pick carts, packaging, stocking, and cycle counts.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, seek approvals when required, and monitor results.
- Commitment to safe work practices, accuracy, organization, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

- Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience.
- Experience soldering to J-STD-001H.
- Experience with BPS, BAC, or similar aerospace process specifications.
- Forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Prior experience training or mentoring other assemblers.
