Administrative Coordinator
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Long-Term Contract (Potential for Permanent Placement)
On-site, North Charleston SC
$15-17/hour
Our recruiting and staffing agency is partnering with a state government department to hire a detail-oriented and professional Administrative Coordinator. This is a long-term contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role with the state.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, greeting visitors and managing incoming calls
Perform accurate data entry and maintain department records
Prepare and distribute reports as requested
Provide general administrative support to department staff and leadership
Assist with records management, filing, and document organization
Support daily operations to ensure smooth workflow across the department
Qualifications:
2–3 years of administrative or office coordination experience
Strong phone etiquette and professional written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to type at least 45 WPM accurately
Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
Professional and customer service-oriented demeanor
Schedule & Pay:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Competitive hourly pay, based on experience
