Job Summary
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant – TCAC/HUD for a contract opportunity in San Rafael, CA within the real estate and property management industry. The Administrative Assistant – TCAC/HUD will work closely with property management and compliance teams to maintain accurate records, support certifications and recertifications, and help ensure documentation meets federal, state, and property requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, and update resident, applicant, and compliance files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process and review TCAC and HUD documentation, including certifications, recertifications, and supporting compliance records.
- Assist with file audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and preparation of documentation for internal and external review.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in property management software, databases, and office systems.
- Provide administrative support including answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and coordinating meetings.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, copying, document management, and maintaining confidentiality of resident and company information.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Maintain resident, applicant, and compliance files for affordable housing programs.
- Review and process TCAC and HUD documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support certifications, recertifications, file audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Provide administrative office support to property management and compliance teams.
- 1 to 2 years of administrative or office experience required.
- Experience working with TCAC and HUD affordable housing files preferred.
- Knowledge of compliance documentation, certifications, recertifications, and resident file management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong data entry accuracy, recordkeeping skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor, customer service focus, and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Affordable housing or property management experience.
- Knowledge of LIHTC, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, regulations.
- Experience preparing resident or applicant files for audits and compliance reviews.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
