We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant for an opportunity in Columbia, SC. This role supports important administrative functions and background screening processes for individuals seeking approval within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct background screening reviews and verification processes for individuals undergoing eligibility or suitability assessments within regulated programs and services.
- Research criminal history records, fingerprint-based information, public records, and applicant data using internal databases and specialized research tools.
- Accurately enter, maintain, and update applicant information within tracking systems and electronic databases.
- Receive, log, and process incoming correspondence while maintaining organized administrative records and documentation.
- Provide professional customer service by answering incoming calls, responding to inquiries, and directing requests as appropriate.
- Perform additional administrative, clerical, and operational support duties as needed to assist with office functions and workflow management.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Location: Columbia, SC.
- 1-2 years of administrative, clerical, data entry, or office support experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Excellent data entry speed and accuracy.
- Strong research skills and ability to review detailed records carefully.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in applicant information.
- Ability to learn regulatory requirements, record review procedures, and screening processes.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Willingness to complete job-related training and certification requirements as needed.
- Professional communication skills and ability to provide courteous customer service by phone.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in compliance, regulatory processes, records review, research, or administrative support functions.
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree may be helpful for future permanent consideration.
