Job Summary

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant for long-term contract opportunities supporting public sector programs in Columbia, SC. Compensation and Benefits

The Administrative Assistant will support important program operations by reviewing records, verifying information, updating systems, and helping ensure accurate and timely processing. Key Responsibilities

- Review applications, forms, records, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Research and verify information using multiple computer systems, databases, and internal resources.
- Process transactions, update records, and maintain detailed documentation according to established procedures.
- Analyze information and make determinations based on policies, guidelines, and program requirements.
- Request additional information when needed and communicate professionally with customers, partner agencies, and internal teams.
- Manage assigned workloads while meeting quality, productivity, confidentiality, and deadline expectations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Review and process administrative documents, applications, and records.

- 3 to 5 years of administrative, clerical, customer service, eligibility, case processing, or related office experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to learn, interpret, and follow policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and databases simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, follow-up, and deadline management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in administrative support, healthcare, insurance, customer service, case management, claims processing, financial review, or government-related environments.
- Prior experience reviewing documentation, processing records, or making determinations based on established procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
- Interest in gaining long-term experience within public sector program support.
