We’re seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to join the Office of Admissions and provide essential front desk and administrative support. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with diverse teams, and is ready to make an immediate impact.
This is a 3-6 month assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The position is in-person, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a competitive pay range of $20-$22 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Managing front desk operations, including answering phones and responding to emails.
- Maintaining an organized office environment and ensuring the office remains open during training sessions and staff meetings.
- Overseeing inventory and supply orders.
- Drafting professional communications and engaging with administrative departments, faculty, and staff.
- Supporting event planning and execution.
Assisting with department workflows and collaborating with student ambassadors.
Qualifications:
- Prior administrative experience (required).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in higher education (preferred but not required).
