Seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Government Affairs Department of a reputable legal firm in Downtown Albany! In this role, you will be intrinsic to the success of the organization by being the front lines of communication between the clients and legislative offices. Requirements:
-Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management
-Be a self-starter, and able to work within a collaborative environment.
-Knowledge of legislative process or previous direct work experience with the NYS Legislature, lobbying or law firm, or membership organization, preferred but not required.
-Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
-Associate degree or higher, or at least 2 years related experience and/or training.
Responsibilities:
-Direct communication with clients and legislative offices, scheduling meetings, maintaining meeting schedules
-Assisting with client lobby days, database entry and maintenance, time recording and billing, direct support for government affairs staff, and other general administrative duties as assigned.
-Familiarity and competency with Microsoft Office suite and web-based meeting platforms.
