Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented On-Site Field Administrator with strong experience in Davis-Bacon payroll compliance to join our construction project team. This role will oversee Davis-Bacon payroll administration and provide essential administrative support directly on the jobsite. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in prevailing wage laws, certified payroll reporting, and subcontractor compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Davis-Bacon Payroll Administration:
Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements.
Verify employee hours, classifications, wages, fringe benefits, and overtime.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor standards.
Track and correct payroll discrepancies and maintain detailed logs of received payrolls and resubmissions.
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure proper documentation, compliance, and training on Davis-Bacon requirements.
Subcontractor Support & Training:
Conduct or coordinate subcontractor compliance training for certified payroll, labor classification, fringe reporting, and overtime rules.
Provide templates and guidance for payroll submissions and reporting.
Monitor apprenticeships, ensure compliance with ratios, and track benefit contributions.
On-Site Administrative Support:
Serve as the primary administrative contact on the jobsite.
Maintain project documentation, logs, and records, including insurance certificates and licenses.
Assist with timekeeping, invoicing, and general bookkeeping tasks as needed.
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to support smooth operations.
Qualifications:
3–5+ years of experience in Davis-Bacon payroll administration or related construction payroll compliance.
Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws, certified payroll reporting, and subcontractor compliance.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Previous construction office experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
