We are seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, verify coding, and assist with accounts payable transactions.
- Support accounts receivable activities, including customer invoicing, payment posting, and account follow-up.
- Reconcile statements, research discrepancies, and help resolve billing or payment issues.
- Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and filing systems.
- Assist with month-end close tasks, reporting, and general accounting support as needed.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams, vendors, and customers regarding account questions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $25 to $30 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: Santa Barbara, CA.
- Process accounts payable invoices and support vendor payment activity.

- 1 to 2 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work with invoices, purchase orders, statements, payments, and account reconciliations.
- Basic understanding of accounting processes and financial documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, email, and general office technology.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Professional communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality with financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Prior experience supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Familiarity with month-end close support, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Associate degree, coursework, or training in accounting, finance, or business.
