Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner. This role reviews incoming invoices and related documentation to ensure correctness of pricing, taxes, billing periods, and payment terms. The position supports routine accounting functions by following established procedures and guidelines, maintaining organized records, and assisting with standard reporting and close activities.

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify invoices and payment requests for accuracy

Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation, confirming pricing and quantities

Enter, upload, and prepare invoices for payment

Track expenses and process expense reports

Prepare and process electronic payments and check runs

Maintain accurate payment records and supporting documentation

Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies

Maintain and update vendor information

Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries

Assist with month-end close activities

Provide documentation to support audits

Additional Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and support departmental workflows

Demonstrate strong time management, organizational, and multitasking skills

Assist with inventory counts or audits as needed

Maintain a professional and service-oriented approach with internal and external contacts

Follow established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Support continuous improvement initiatives

Perform other related duties as assigned

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
