Accounts Receivable Specialist — Construction
Location: Ontario, CA
Pay: 23 to 25 dollars per hour DOE
Schedule: Full time, on site, Monday to Friday
About the Role
We are hiring an Accounts Receivable pro who knows construction billing cold. You will own the invoice to cash cycle for a busy job cost environment. If AIA billing, retention, and lien waivers are second nature, this is your lane.
What You Will Do
• Prepare and submit progress billings, including AIA G702 and G703
• Post cash receipts, apply payments, reconcile customer accounts, and maintain an accurate aging
• Track retention and collect on milestones and closeout
• Generate statements, research short pays, and manage light collections with professionalism
• Process California preliminary notices and conditional or unconditional lien waivers
• Partner with Project Managers to validate schedules of values, percent complete, and change orders
• Support month end close for AR subledger, reconciliations, and reports
• Maintain documentation accuracy in ERP and project platforms
What You Bring
• 2 plus years of Accounts Receivable in a construction setting required
• Hands on experience with AIA progress billing, retention, and lien release processes
• Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivots
• Experience with one or more: QuickBooks, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Procore
• Detail focus, clear communication, and a steady follow up rhythm
