Job Title: Accounts Receivables Cash Application Specialist
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Accounts Receivables Cash Application Specialist to support daily financial operations and ensure the accurate, timely processing of credit card transactions, expense reports, and account reconciliations. This role is key to maintaining financial integrity, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review and process corporate credit card and employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and eligibility for payment.
Post financial transactions to appropriate general ledger accounts and prepare summaries, calculations, and formatted data for reporting.
Monitor assigned G/L accounts; research discrepancies, reconcile variances, and prepare adjusting journal entries as required.
Compile, verify, and analyze financial data from various sources to assist in the preparation of internal accounting reports.
Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to transaction processing, discrepancies, and chargebacks.
Draft, manage, and maintain correspondence and documentation related to assigned accounting functions.
Process credit applications and manage chargeback documentation and resolution.
Analyze and organize financial data using advanced Excel functions such as PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
Provide training and guidance on online cashiering systems, cash handling procedures, and expense reporting tools.
Participate in and support accounting projects focused on improving cash application and expense reporting processes.
Assist with internal audits, special projects, and ad hoc financial research as needed.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other accounting team members and support subsidiary entities.
Stay current with accounting procedures and recommend process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain reliable, punctual attendance and uphold a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience in a fast-paced or industrial setting.
Solid understanding of general ledger functions, account reconciliation, and expense reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
Experience processing credit applications and managing chargebacks.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to solve problems independently.
Demonstrated ability to support accounting projects and collaborate effectively across departments.
A self-starter with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
