Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager
Location: Hybrid | Orlando, FL (32821 zip code)
Duration: Approximately 6 months (strong potential to convert to permanent)
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 base (open to higher for the right fit)
Company is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager for an immediate, high-priority opening. This is a critical role, and the team will move very quickly on interviews and hiring decisions.
Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees all AR functions related to park operations, including guest ticketing revenue, group sales, events, sponsorships, memberships, and corporate billings. This role ensures accurate and timely revenue recognition, supports cash flow forecasting, strengthens internal controls, and leads an AR team supporting both on-site park operations and centralized finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue & AR Operations:
Oversee daily AR activities related to ticket sales, season passes, in-park spending, online sales, and B2B/group bookings
Ensure accurate reconciliation of ticketing systems, POS systems, and cash platforms (e.g., Accesso, OmniPOS, Gateway)
Manage invoicing, billing cycles, credit memos, collections, and cash application
Partner with Group Sales, Events, and Marketing teams on contract billing and revenue recognition
Own AR aging reports and drive collection strategies to minimize DSO
Controls, Compliance & Reporting:
Maintain strong internal controls over cash, deferred revenue, and guest payments
Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements
Prepare AR-related reporting for month-end close, forecasting, and leadership dashboards
Support budgeting, year-end audits, and tax-related requirements
Systems & Process Improvement:
Act as AR system owner/SME for ERP and ticketing integrations (Workday, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
Partner with IT and operations to streamline reconciliations and automate reporting
Improve processes related to refunds, chargebacks, billing accuracy, and payment disputes
Leadership:
Lead, coach, and develop AR team members (coordinators, specialists, analysts)
Set clear performance expectations and service standards
Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, accuracy, and guest-first service
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
2+ years in a supervisory or management role
Strong understanding of GAAP revenue recognition and AR lifecycle
Experience in high-volume transactional environments
Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
Preferred:
Experience in theme parks, attractions, hospitality, entertainment, or high-volume venues
Experience with ticketing/POS systems and deferred revenue accounting
Knowledge of chargebacks, PCI compliance, and guest refund processes
CPA, CMA, or similar certification a plus
