Accounts Receivable and Accounting Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC 28217 (onsite)
Pay Rate: $25 to $27 per hour depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM
Employment Type: Temp to perm

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, apply cash receipts and payments, monitor aging, and follow up on past due accounts while resolving billing discrepancies
• Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, payment status, and credit reference requests
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and support cash flow tracking
• Assist with month end close by preparing reports, schedules, reconciliations, and journal entry support while ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on time

Qualifications
• Two or more years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience with strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems and familiarity with month end close processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis
• Detail oriented, organized, strong communication skills, and able to work independently to meet deadlines
