Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Representative to join the team. This role primarily focuses on Accounts Receivable functions, with additional support for Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QuickBooks Online, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver professional and empathetic customer service—especially when assisting homeowners who have experienced property damage.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all Accounts Receivable functions including invoice creation, change orders, and collection of deposits
Provide Accounts Payable support on Mondays, including processing vendor invoices and categorizing expenses
Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly coded in QuickBooks Online
Communicate with clients, adjustors, and project managers to resolve billing questions and ensure timely payment
Learn and utilize the company’s CRM system to track projects, payments, and client communications
Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets for reporting and reconciliation purposes
Deliver exceptional customer service when interacting with homeowners and partners, handling sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
Experience in plumbing, electrical, landscaping, or similar service industries is highly preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software
Ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners
Additional Information
Temporary position to cover maternity leave with potential to convert to temp-to-hire
Must have QuickBooks Online experience
