Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a direct hire opportunity in La Verne, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 1 to 2 years of AR experience who enjoys detailed account work, customer communication, and supporting high-volume payment activity in a wholesale trade and import-export environment.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will help maintain accurate customer accounts, apply payments, research discrepancies, and support AR processes for major retail customers. Key Responsibilities

- Process and apply incoming customer payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor customer accounts, review past-due balances, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, payment discrepancies, and account status.
- Research, reconcile, and resolve customer account discrepancies.
- Maintain the Accounts Receivable ledger and ensure accurate customer and payment records.
- Prepare sales rebate and commission reports and assist with AR activity for major retail accounts.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $42,000 to $48,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: La Verne, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process and apply customer payments while maintaining accurate AR records.
- Monitor past-due accounts and support collection follow-up.
- Research and reconcile account discrepancies.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable activity for large retail customer accounts.

- Minimum 1 to 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to research issues, resolve discrepancies, and follow established credit and payment policies.
- Comfortable working with customer accounts, invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous Accounts Receivable experience supporting large retail accounts.
- Experience working with Walmart, Costco, Target, or similar major retailers.
- Experience in a wholesale trade, import-export, distribution, or consumer goods environment.
