Job Summary Required Qualifications and Skills
A growing organization in the agriculture industry is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk for a temporary assignment in Shafter area. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who has hands-on receivables processing experience and can step in quickly to support a high-volume invoicing workload.
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will help process approximately 200 to 300 invoices per week, so accuracy, organization, and the ability to work efficiently are essential. This opportunity offers a supportive team environment, flexible start time, and the chance to contribute immediately to a busy accounting department with strong leadership and collaborative coworkers.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of accounts receivable invoices accurately and on schedule.
- Review invoice details for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding.
- Enter and maintain receivables data using Famous software.
- Support daily accounting workflows related to invoicing and receivables processing.
- Organize documentation and maintain accurate records for accounting review.
- Communicate with internal team members to resolve invoice discrepancies or missing information.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Assignment length: Expected to last 4 to 6 weeks.
- Schedule: Full 8-hour shift with flexible start time of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM.
- Location: Bakersfield, CA.
- Immediate start needed.
- Process weekly accounts receivable invoices in a high-volume accounting environment.
- Maintain accurate invoice records and support receivables documentation.
- Use Famous software to enter, review, and process accounting information.
- Assist the accounting team with invoice tracking and receivables workflow.
- 1 to 2 years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience required.
- Prior experience processing receivables is required.
- Must have accounting experience. This is not an entry-level position.
- Experience with Famous software is required or strongly needed for success in this role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to process invoices accurately.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to manage 200 to 300 invoices per week.
- Ability to start as soon as possible without needing to give notice.
- Dependable, focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous accounting experience in agriculture, produce, farming, food production, or a related industry.
- Prior experience supporting temporary accounting projects or high-volume invoicing assignments.
- Strong data entry accuracy and comfort working with accounting systems.
