AppleOne has partner with a thriving personal care distributor in Ontario, CA to assist them in hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team.

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Ontario, CA (100% onsite)
Industry: Manufacturing
Schedule: Full time Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable position is responsible for managing customer deductions, chargebacks, compliance documentation, and account reconciliations for key retail partners including Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Value Valley, and other major customers. This position focuses on researching, organizing, and disputing chargebacks; maintaining accurate recordkeeping; processing supporting documentation; and coordinating with internal departments and customers to ensure accurate resolution of deductions and receivables.
The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience working within retailer portals and accounting systems. The position plays a key role in protecting company margins, supporting collections efforts, and ensuring financial data accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Review, research, and dispute customer chargebacks and deductions through retailer portals (e.g., Dollar General, Dollar Tree, etc.)
•Gather and upload supporting documentation including POs, BOLs, invoices, shipping confirmations, compliance letters, and email communication
•Maintain chargeback tracking logs and provide status updates to management
•Communicate professionally with customers regarding deduction disputes and documentation requests
•Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Compliance, and AR teams to obtain required backup
•Monitor modified POs, ship-date changes, SKU changes, and tariff-related adjustments
•Track and document compliance changes that may impact chargebacks
•Assist AR team with cash application discrepancies related to deductions
•Support month-end reporting on open chargebacks, pending disputes, and recovered funds
•Maintain organized records for audit and reference purposes
•Assist in process improvement to reduce future chargebacks and penalties
•Perform general AR support duties as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
•Strong organizational and documentation skills
•Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
•Ability to work in multiple retail compliance portals
•Familiarity with Accounts Receivable and deduction concepts
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
•Proficiency with Excel and electronic document management
•Experience with Business Central and QuickBooks (preferred)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
•3+ years of recent experience in chargebacks, deductions, AR, or big box retailer compliance
•Experience working with large retailers
•Accounting or business coursework helpful but not required
