Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)

$23–$28 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a busy accounting team in Huntington Beach. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with strong A/P experience who is organized, reliable, and eager to grow within the accounting department.
Responsibilities
Code invoices and enter accounts payable transactions
Assist with A/P research and issue resolution
Maintain and organize A/P files and documentation
Support bank reconciliations
Assist with fixed asset tracking and schedules
Manage insurance certificates and required documentation
Maintain Excel spreadsheets for large vendors
Provide general support to the accounting team
Qualifications
Previous Accounts Payable experience required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities
Basic accounting knowledge or accounting coursework preferred
Comfortable working with Excel and accounting systems
Schedule & Benefits
Full-time | Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week
Pay: $23–$28 per hour (depending on experience)
10 PTO days + 6 sick days per year once hired permanently
401(k) after 90 days with up to 4% employer match
