Accounts Payable Specialist
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments. This role includes verifying purchase orders, matching invoices to receipts, coding expenses to the correct accounts, and maintaining up-to-date vendor records. The specialist will monitor outstanding balances, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
In addition, the Accounts Payable Specialist will communicate regularly with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing discrepancies, answer inquiries, and uphold strong professional relationships. The position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel is essential, along with a strong understanding of general accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing high volumes of invoices and payments with accuracy and efficiency.
Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Preparing weekly and monthly reports for management review.
Maintaining organized and compliant financial documentation.
Supporting audits and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
Collaborating with accounting and procurement teams to improve workflow and reporting accuracy.
