We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for an opportunity supporting a construction office in Solana Beach, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys invoice processing, vendor communication, statement reconciliation, and organized documentation in a small office environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, review, and process invoices submitted by email, ensuring accuracy and readiness for payment.
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding invoices, documentation, insurance records, preliminary notices, and lien releases.
- Manage accounts payable email correspondence, follow-up tasks, and related documentation.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized accounting records.
- Provide additional administrative and accounting support as needed in a small office environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $26 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to consider full-time hours for the right candidate.
- Location: Solana Beach, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 3 to 5 years of accounts payable experience.
- Previous accounts payable experience required.
- Experience processing invoices and reconciling statements.
- Strong data entry accuracy and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow consistent processes.
- Dependable with a stable work history.
- Comfortable working independently in a small office environment.
- Outgoing, positive, and professional work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

- Construction industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with preliminary notices and lien releases is a plus.
- Experience communicating with subcontractors, vendors, or service providers in a construction-related environment.
