Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their fast-paced construction accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and has strong knowledge of construction-specific AP processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
Manage full-cycle accounts payable including coding, matching, and approvals
Handle lien waivers and lien releases in compliance with construction industry requirements
Maintain vendor files and ensure proper documentation is collected and stored
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing activities as needed
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely payments
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Accounts Payable experience (construction accounting required)
Strong understanding of lien rights, lien waivers, and lien release processes
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Timberline)
Familiarity with construction job costing and project-based accounting
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
