We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with strong auditing and compliance experience to support financial operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.

Temporary (3 month contract with possibility of extension)

$24 - 25 USD per hour

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of professional accounting, auditing, or accounts payable experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
High degree of integrity and strong work ethic
Experience working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong self-management skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
Solid understanding of Travel & Entertainment (T&E) policies and internal controls
Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas)
Experience with Concur is a plus

Responsibilities

Process and review accounts payable transactions in compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
Assist with enforcement of T&E policies and audit procedures
Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
Respond to help desk inquiries and assist with resolving aged items
Support routine audits and collaborate with internal and external partners
Assist with SOP updates and process improvements
Maintain confidentiality related to financial and investigative audits
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
