Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Receivable Coordinator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, payments, and collections. This position requires strong communication skills, an ability to work under pressure, and a keen eye for detail to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy in amounts and payment terms.
Review and approve vendor invoices, matching them with purchase orders and receipts.
Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of all payable transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Accounts Receivable:

Generate and send invoices to customers for goods/services provided.
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with clients to ensure timely payments.
Process incoming payments, ensuring accurate posting to customer accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or payment issues.
Maintain customer records and update account information as needed.

General Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable and receivable.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues and answer queries.
Prepare reports on accounts payable and receivable aging, as well as cash flow projections.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies regarding payments and collections.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable functions, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (or similar spreadsheet software) is highly preferred.
