Job Title: Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the Opportunity
We are a recruiting and staffing agency partnering with a state department to hire an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience handling financial transactions in a structured office environment.

Position Overview
This role will support day-to-day accounting functions, including processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments
• Manage accounts receivable, including tracking incoming payments and resolving discrepancies
• Reconcile financial records and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with data entry and reporting related to financial transactions
• Communicate with internal teams and external contacts regarding billing and payment inquiries
• Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements
• Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
