Accounts Payable Clerk

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch; some flexibility available)
Employment Type: Temporary for approximately 3 months (could extend)
Work Arrangement: On-site - Orlando, FL 32811

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to support our finance team. This role goes beyond basic clerical and data entry tasks and requires a solid understanding of full-cycle Accounts Payable processes. The ideal candidate will be able to step in quickly, manage AP responsibilities with minimal training, and provide immediate support to the team.

Key Responsibilities
Perform full-cycle Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, coding, and payment preparation
Review, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices and statements
Manage discrepancies and communicate with vendors to resolve issues
Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
Assist with month-end close activities related to AP
Maintain organized and accurate AP records and documentation
Support the finance team with additional accounting-related tasks as needed

Qualifications
Prior experience in Accounts Payable beyond data entry or clerk-level duties
Strong understanding of AP processes and best practices
Ability to step in and contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
