We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a high-performing accounting team. About the company: The company is a well-established, family-owned heavy/medium-duty commercial truck dealership and service company headquartered in Charlotte, NC. It offers a wide range of services—sales of new/used trucks, full parts and service support, leasing and rentals—and represents major brands like Mack, Volvo and Hino. With multiple locations across several states and recognition as a top-dealer by Mack Trucks, it is positioned as a strong partner for fleets needing end-to-end truck solutions.

You’ll start by mastering core Accounts Payable responsibilities, then have the opportunity to expand into Accounts Receivable—creating meaningful long-term growth within the department.

What You’ll Do
• Process 300+ invoices per week with accuracy, speed, and consistency.
• Manage daily invoice workflows using CDK Global (no experience required—training provided).
• Match invoices to purchase orders, reconcile discrepancies, and support smooth month-end close activities.
• Communicate confidently with vendors, internal teams, and operations partners.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workflow to prevent backlogs.
• Support Accounts Receivable functions (collections, payment tracking) after the initial ramp-up period.
• Uphold accounting policies, documentation standards, and internal controls.

What We’re Looking For
Experience & Technical Skills
• 2–5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Exposure to Accounts Receivable is a plus
• Strong AP fundamentals and solid Excel skills
• Quick learner, especially with new systems and workflows
