Immediate need for accounts payable clerk. Open to candidates with 1-3 years of accounts payable experience.
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and managing all incoming invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor bills, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a key part in supporting the organization’s financial operations and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review, verify, and process invoices, credit card payments and check requests.
• Match receipts, and invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Make sure vendor information and invoice data in the accounting system is correct, submit corrections if needed.
• Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) in a timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues or discrepancies.
• Support audits by providing documentation and account analysis as needed.
• Follow internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
