Job Description - Published:Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Controller
We are currently seeking a motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting the accounting team with various administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
Manage and track payments to vendors in a timely manner.
Maintain petty cash records and perform regular reconciliations.
Enter financial data accurately into the system (NDS, e-Emphasys, Microsoft, etc.).
Create and prepare reports and provide information to management as needed.
Handle incoming calls and direct the switchboard when necessary.
Open, sort, and distribute mail.
Assist with various administrative tasks as assigned by the Controller.

Experience with NDS and e-Emphasys software is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Primarily a seated position with some light movement around the office.
Regular use of computer and telephone.
Occasional bending, lifting, and reaching required.
Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and by email.
