Job Description: Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk. This role is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

-Process and verify a high volume of invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approval.
-Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure accurate payment.
-Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
-Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies in a timely manner.
-Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms.
-Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliations.
-Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment-related inquiries.
-Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws regarding accounts payable.
-Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and support.
-Perform other administrative and financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
-Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
-Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
-Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations.
