?? NEW REMOTE OPPORTUNITY – Accounts Payable Specialist (Virginia Residents Only)
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM EST (flexibility discussed during interview)
Duration: 3-month contract
Location: Remote – must reside in VA

We are supporting a new opening with Ferguson for an adaptable, detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their daily tasks, and can quickly learn new systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
• High-volume entry of PO and Non-PO invoices
• Enter invoices, credits, and AP items in Excel and Oracle AP (Oracle experience a major plus)
• Research and resolve discrepancies; contact vendors as needed
• Perform GL coding and PO matching
• Look up invoice items, support ongoing projects, and pivot as tasks change
• Maintain accuracy, organization, and strong attention to detail
• Participate in additional duties as requested by management
Must-Haves:
• 2–3 years of high-volume AP invoice entry
• Accounting background
• Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUP)
• Excellent communication skills—comfortable speaking with vendors
• Fast learner, takes initiative, adaptable to change
• Ability to retain information and manage shifting priorities

If someone prefers repetitive, same-task work every day, this position is not a fit. The ideal candidate is flexible and ready to switch between tasks throughout the day.
