We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Specialist (part-time or full-time hours considered) with deep Sage 100 (MAS 90/200) expertise to support a system migration from QuickBooks Desktop to Sage 100 ERP. This is a high-impact, project-based role focused on data migration and system validation likely to take 2-3 months.
You will work alongside team that is maintaining day-to-day operations, so the ideal candidate is highly independent, detail-oriented, and experienced in ERP implementations or system conversions OR be highly proficient working within Sage 100.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support ERP migration from QuickBooks Desktop to Sage 100 (MAS 90/200)
Perform data mapping, data conversion, and data validation
Reconcile and ensure accuracy of general ledger, AP, AR, and financial data
Review and clean up chart of accounts, customer/vendor master data, and historical records
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve discrepancies during migration
Collaborate with internal accounting staff during ongoing daily operations
Provide guidance on Sage 100 best practices, workflows, and system functionality
Assist with process improvements and system optimization
Support post-migration testing, reporting, and issue resolution
Qualifications
Required: Strong, hands-on experience with Sage 100 / MAS 90 / MAS 200
Proven experience with ERP implementations, system conversions, or data migration projects a huge advantage
Solid accounting background including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Experience with data cleanup, validation, and financial data integrity
Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred Background
Accounting Consultant, Accounting Specialist, or Staff Accountant level
Prior experience supporting ERP transitions while maintaining live accounting operations a plus
