Job Summary Required Qualifications and Skills
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist for an onsite temporary assignment in Camarillo, CA, providing leave coverage from October through December. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong Accounts Payable, reconciliations, General Ledger, and month-end close experience.

The Accounting Specialist will play an important role in keeping accounting operations accurate, timely, and organized during a critical coverage period. Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable processes, monitor invoice activity, and ensure timely payment processing.
- Process weekly checks and ACH payments while maintaining accurate supporting documentation.
- Research and reconcile vendor accounts, employee expense reports, bank activity, and General Ledger balances.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities, schedules, and account reconciliations.
- Support financial reporting, audit preparation, billing, Accounts Receivable, and other accounting functions as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $24 to $36 per hour, depending on experience.
- Assignment type: Contract/temporary leave coverage.
- Assignment duration: October through December.
- Work location: Onsite in Camarillo, CA.
- Oversee Accounts Payable activity, invoice processing, check runs, and ACH payments.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close accounting activities.
- Maintain General Ledger records, supporting schedules, and monthly reconciliations.
- Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, billing, and Accounts Receivable support.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Strong Accounts Payable experience.
- Experience with bank reconciliations and General Ledger accounting.
- Experience preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP or accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize work, and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Must be able to work onsite in Camarillo, CA.
- Must successfully complete fingerprinting, drug screening, and an extensive background check.
- Must be available to work throughout the October through December assignment period.
