We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Orange, CA. This on-site role supports accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing within a manufacturing environment, partnering closely with the Controller and Finance team.

Key Responsibilities
- Record expenses, revenue, payments, vendor activity, customer billing, and other accounting transactions in the accounting system.
- Process vendor payments, print checks, initiate ACH payments, and prepare customer invoices with supporting documentation.
- Reconcile assigned accounts, research discrepancies, correct data entry errors, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Generate financial reports, account summaries, and documentation to support internal reporting and audit needs.
- Assist with tax documentation, month-end close, quarter-end close, year-end close, and backup support for AP and AR functions.
- Follow facility safety rules, internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $64,000 to $68,000 per year.

- Support daily accounting operations, including transaction recording, vendor payments, customer billing, and account reconciliation.
- Assist with financial reporting, audit documentation, tax support, and period-end close activities.
- Provide backup coverage for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential financial records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field plus 1 year of accounting experience, or associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field plus 3 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and general ledger activity.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Ability to research discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
- Basic arithmetic, analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or multi-site accounting experience.
- Experience with AP, AR, reconciliation, and general accounting functions.
- Month-end close, financial reporting, or audit documentation experience.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP experience.
- Multi-state finance or accounting experience.
