Accounting Specialist
Columbia, SC (Onsite)
Salary: $40,000 – $48,000 annually
Full-Time | Monday – Friday
Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys keeping financial operations running smoothly? We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join a growing team in Columbia, SC. This onsite role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where accuracy, organization, and customer service are valued.
Responsibilities
-Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
-Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment posting, and collections
Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts
-Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
-Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
-Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
-Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments
Generate reports and assist with audits as needed
-Support additional accounting and administrative functions as assigned
Qualifications
-3+ years of accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience
-Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis
-Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
