-Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Accounting Specialist to support our accounting and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day financial tasks, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and reports. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general office administration experience.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Experience preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end support activities preferred.
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense reporting processes.
Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or a related industry.
Familiarity with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursement procedures.
Understanding of sales tax, use tax, and basic regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions.
