Accounting Specialist - Fresno, CA
Full-Time | On-Site | Accounting • Finance • Accounts Receivable/Payable
A well established Fresno based organization in the agriculture industry is partnering with AppleOne Fresno to recruit a detail oriented Accounting Specialist to join its finance team. This role is responsible for accounts receivable and provides support across accounts payable, general accounting, cash receipts, external funding, and audits. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a deadline driven environment, and has strong experience in accounting operations.
This position works closely with senior finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and strict adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (Primary Duties)
• Download, process, and invoice weekly shipment or sales reports
• Prepare and record twice weekly deposits
• Provide backup support for daily A/R logging
• Generate and issue penalty assessments when required
• Enter or upload shipment/sales data for annual reporting
Accounts Payable (Backup)
• Provide backup support for scheduled check processing
• Assist with follow up steps after check runs
General Accounting & Administrative Support
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage petty cash and maintain proper documentation
• Prepare schedules and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Support audits, including financial audits, funding reviews, and compliance audits
• Assist with accounting tasks related to externally funded programs

Qualifications
• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field (minimum)
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently
• High level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office
