A growing professional services company is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Accounting Specialist to join the team immediately. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced environment with strong visibility to leadership.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with invoicing, cash application, aging review, and collections, preferably within a professional services or recurring billing environment. Experience with sales tax is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable/Payable, including high-volume invoicing and recurring billings
Generate and distribute invoices for 60+ recurring accounts and 150+ monthly rebills
Apply and post customer payments (ACH, check, wire) accurately
Review AR aging reports, research discrepancies, and handle collections professionally
Maintain strong client relationships while resolving billing issues
Prepare daily cash reports and assist with financial summaries
Reconcile AR transactions, bank accounts, and vendor statements
Support month-end and year-end close
Audit invoices and G/L coding for accuracy and compliance
Assist with Accounts Payable and general accounting support as needed
Qualifications
Strong experience in Accounting (invoicing, cash application, aging, collections)
Experience in professional services or recurring billing environments preferred
Knowledge of sales tax processing/reporting highly desirable
Experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar systems
Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reporting)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volume
Professional communication skills for client interactions
