About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager or Controller to lead financial operations and support executive decision-making. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in public accounting or agriculture-related finance who are passionate about leadership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
-Manage month-end and year-end close procedures
-Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
-Develop and maintain robust internal controls
-Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy
-Supervise and mentor accounting team members
-Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants
-Drive improvements in accounting systems and workflows
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
-Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
-Experience in public accounting and/or agricultural finance strongly preferred
-Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
-Proven leadership and team management skills
-Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
-Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
