Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Orlando, FL with a growing manufacturing organization supporting the aviation and aerospace sector. This is a high-impact leadership role for a hands-on accounting professional who can take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function, lead the General Ledger, oversee close processes, and support accurate financial reporting.
The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller and lead a team of approximately 3 to 5 accounting professionals, with additional growth expected. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, strengthening controls, and partnering with leadership to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounting operations and manage the workflow of the accounting department.
- Oversee the General Ledger, month-end close, year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements and financial reports for management, lenders, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage, coach, train, and develop accounting team members, including supervisory and clerical staff.
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes, internal controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead the external audit process and support payroll, treasury, insurance, financial analysis, and special accounting projects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $140,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience.
- Job type: Full-time, direct hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour days.
- Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite in Orlando, FL 32824.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage the day-to-day accounting function, including General Ledger activity, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes while ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a growing accounting team.
- Partner with the Controller and leadership team to support audits, internal controls, analysis, and business decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting supervisory or management experience required.
- Strong hands-on General Ledger, month-end close, year-end close, and day-to-day accounting operations experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, internal controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Infor Syteline, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience supporting external audits, audit schedules, documentation requests, and auditor communication.
- Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven history of stable employment and strong tenure in previous roles.
- CPA is not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, aviation, aerospace, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing environments.
- Multi-entity accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience with Infor Syteline or similar manufacturing ERP systems.
- Cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accounting exposure.
- Prior experience helping build accounting processes, improve controls, and scale a growing accounting department.
