Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing company in Fremont, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys owning the full accounting function, guiding a team, improving processes, and partnering closely with senior leadership.
The Accounting Manager will manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, audits, tax compliance, budgeting, and credit and collections oversight. This is a high-visibility role reporting to executive leadership and offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on financial processes, operational efficiency, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
- Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, banking, collections, credit metrics, and fiscal records.
- Coordinate financial audits, prepare audit documentation, support external auditors, and implement recommended accounting practices.
- Manage tax compliance activities, including sales and use tax, property tax, payroll tax, and related compliance reporting.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Customer Service, and senior leadership on budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Manage, train, develop, and support accounting team members while driving process improvements and accounting system efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $95,000 to $105,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, banking, collections, and inventory costing.
- Lead financial close, reporting, budgeting, audit preparation, and tax compliance activities.
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, financial controls, reporting processes, and department procedures.
- Lead accounting staff and partner with senior leadership on financial planning and performance tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
- 3 years of accounting management or supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of all accounting cycles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory costing.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial audit processes.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to manage, develop, and support a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, accuracy, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing industry accounting experience preferred.
- Experience supporting financial system improvements, ERP configuration, or accounting process optimization preferred.
- Experience with credit and collections leadership, cash flow improvement, and delinquency reduction preferred.
