The Senior Accounting Manager plays a key role on the finance and accounting team, supporting a wide range of responsibilities including accounting operations, financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls in a complex, international environment.
This position works closely with the Controller and leadership team to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Controller in managing accounting and finance activities for North American entities
Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger accounting and intercompany reconciliations
Review and analyze journal entries to ensure accuracy and data integrity
Prepare and upload financial data into OneStream consolidation system and serve as backup support for related entities
Maintain fixed asset records in accordance with corporate accounting policies
Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working with department and sales leaders
Prepare financial reports and analysis for management as needed
Manage accounts payable processes and prepare cash payment forecasts
Monitor and ensure compliance with sales tax, property tax, and state/local filings
Support inventory accounting and cost analysis, including updating standard costs in MAS 500 ERP system
Analyze COGS variances and support efforts to maintain variance thresholds
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements (including JSOX standards)
Support monthly reporting requirements and ad hoc financial analysis requests
Assist with quality management system (QMS) compliance requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience with full-cycle accounting required
2+ years of experience in cost accounting and financial planning/analysis preferred
Experience with MAS 500 ERP system or similar ERP system required
International or multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP
