Accounting Manager – Construction Industry (High Revenue Environment)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our leadership team in a fast-paced, high-growth construction company with annual revenues of approximately $150 million. This is an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented, hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing both people and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, job cost accounting, AP/AR, and payroll.

Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Partner with project managers and operations leadership to analyze job profitability and control costs.

Manage accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners.

Support ERP and process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting and controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.

Construction industry experience required; strong understanding of job cost accounting and WIP schedules.

Experience in a high-revenue ($130M+) environment strongly preferred.

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint, Sage 300, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
