Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join their Finance team. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting strategic business decisions.

The Accounting Manager will oversee and ensure timely, accurate processing of financial transactions and accounting data as well as lead the month-end and year-end close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
In this role you will prepare and review monthly financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reports, perform general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations and maintain fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
The Accounting Manger will analyze and interpret financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, assist with external audits and preparation of corporate tax returns and research and apply appropriate GAAP accounting treatments for new or complex transactions.
The Accounting Manger will ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Participate in the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system, including user training, managing, mentoring, and developing accounting team members, participate in special projects and support cross-functional initiatives, and promote and enforce company-wide safety culture and compliance with safety initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
CPA designation preferred but not required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and project accounting principles.
Proven ability to analyze and reconcile complex financial data.
High level of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with accounting software, preferably Sage 300.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
