Accounting Manager
Location: Whittier, CA | Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 annually | Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM | Manufacturing Industry | Direct Hire
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee our daily accounting operations, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) and collections. This direct-hire opportunity offers stability, professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage AR and AP functions, prioritizing AR and collections.
Oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
Manage check runs, post invoices, and monitor outstanding expenses.
Maintain and enhance ERP systems and accounting automation processes.
Develop, train, and cross-train accounting staff to build a high-performing team.
Write, implement, and maintain AP/AR policies and procedures.
Serve as a liaison between Finance, Sales, and regional leadership.
Collaborate with departments to balance sales goals with credit risk and enforce credit hold policies.
Provide coverage during PTO or peak workload periods.
Communicate effectively across all levels as a trusted business partner.
Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience managing AR and AP, with strong expertise in AR/collections.
Proven track record of stability and growth in prior roles.
Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
ERP system proficiency (Epicor, NetSuite, or similar) — beyond QuickBooks.
Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience streamlining and automating accounting processes.
Ability to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
