Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient financial management. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes, and driving improvements in accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Accounting Team: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, ensuring proper training and workflow management.

Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.

General Ledger Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, and posting adjustments.

Month-End & Year-End Close: Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financials are accurate.

Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing insights on financial performance.

Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Accounts Payable/Receivable Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and collections.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to senior management, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required); CPA or equivalent certification (preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).

Excellent understanding of financial analysis and reporting.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Experience with tax compliance and auditing is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions/formulas).
